INFLUENZA - "THE FLU"

Influenza, commonly called "the flu," is a viral illness that usually occurs between November and April.  It is one of the ten leading causes of death in the United States.

The best time to receive the vaccine is in October or November, however, the flu season runs through April.

Mercy Nursing offers flu clinics beginning in October.  These injections can be done at our office or your facility.

SYMPTOMS:

 

Fever

Chills

Sore throat

Cough

Headache

Extreme tiredness (difficulty getting out of bed)

Bronchitis

Pneumonia
